The Spanish marcona almond tree is the first tree to bloom in the spring! The longer growing season in the glorious sun of the Mediterranean leads to wonderfully fragrant orchards and sweet Marcona almonds. While traveling and tasting throughout Eastern Spain in search of the perfect Marcona, we struck gold when we found these almonds fried in extra virgin olive oil and then seasoned with sea salt. The result is a macadamia-textured, perfectly salted, enticingly dry nut that is naturally cholesterol free.
